ANTISAMOS, KEFALONIA

Antisamos sits on Kefalonia, and if you’ve seen Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, you already know how striking it is. The colors here really hit you—intense green mountains, ridiculously clear emerald water, and pebbles so white they almost glow.

MYRTOS, KEFALONIA

Not far off, Myrtos beach feels like Kefalonia’s crown jewel. People say it’s one of Greece’s top beaches, and they’re not wrong. Those bright, luminous waters and the jaw-dropping view from the cliffs above make the place unforgettable. Myrtos is wild, untouched, and draws day-trippers who want a real taste of the island.

NAVAGIO, ZAKYNTHOS

Navagio is probably the most iconic beach in Greece. You’ve seen it—on postcards, Instagram, everywhere. Tucked between steep cliffs on Zakynthos (or Zante, if you like the old Italian name), this place is famous for its rusted shipwreck stranded right on the sand. They call it Shipwreck Bay, and it’s just as dramatic as it sounds.

MARATHONISI, ZAKYNTHOS

After Navagio, Marathonisi—also known as Turtle Island—feels like something out of a dream. It’s a quick boat ride from the busy Laganas resort, but the island itself is a protected haven for Caretta caretta turtles. Golden sand, untouched nature, and clear water set the scene for something truly special.

XI, KEFALONIA

Xi beach stands out with its golden-orange sand and those white and grey cliffs. It doesn’t look like any other beach on Kefalonia. People say the grey clay in the cliffs works wonders for your skin, so maybe try it out while you’re there.

PORTO KATSIKI, LEFKADA

Porto Katsiki on Lefkada is another showstopper. Think sun-bleached cliffs, sparkling blue water, and golden pebbles underfoot. Don’t forget your camera—sunset here is something else.

SIDARI, CORFU

For something totally different, head to Sidari on Corfu and check out the Canal D’Amour. Here, turquoise water cuts through sandstone, making weird and wonderful channels and rock shapes. There’s a legend that says couples who swim through the channel will end up married, which is where the “Channel of Love” name comes from.

EGREMNI, LEFKADA

Egremni on Lefkada will blow you away with its electric blue water and a huge stretch of white sand—2.5 kilometers, actually. After a landslide in 2015, the only way in is by boat, but honestly, that just adds to the adventure.

VOUTOUMI, ANTIPAXOS

Tiny Antipaxos is home to some of the best white sand in the entire Ionian chain, and Voutoumi is the standout. Exotic water, a secret cove vibe, and barely a crowd in sight. Just hop a taxi boat from Gaios and you’re there.

LIAPADES, CORFU

Corfu’s got so many beautiful beaches, it’s tough to pick just one. But if you want to skip the crowds, grab a boat and head south of Liapades. Out there, you’ll find wild, empty stretches like Paradise, Stelari, and Xomoi—dramatic, remote, and all yours.
